After the first episode, I am interested enough to keep going. If you are interested in vintage ( late 80s early 90s ) anime, then it will look good. The artwork is dated and lower budget, but that appeals to some. The humor is scattershot, as in the first Airplane movie; if the last joke does not work for you then maybe the next five jokes in the next five seconds will. The story has a direction right from the start and the show is not episodic - it is adapted from a novel.
I have been watching some older anime, just to see how things have changed over time. This is good entertainment, for those that do not expect the next Citizen Kane every time they hit PLAY. Sometimes you need some cheese to appreciate the next glass of wine and if you are thinking "A talking psychic cat chasing space pirates? That sounds good" Then this is for you. Enjoy.
