Dangerous cargo transportation

Warning: Spoilers
Two truck drivers transport goods across the vast expanses of Belarus. One of them is involved in shady affairs along the way, which one day backfires on him - the failed courier dies at the hands of a road gang. His friend decides to carry out justice on his own, collecting valuable information bit by bit and, repeatedly, miraculously comes out of the skirmishes that follow one after another.

Despite the given synopsis of the plot, which is an extraordinary attempt to depict the harsh everyday life of the provincial-village squabbles of a single republic, coupled with an equally catchy title, claiming, if not the laurels of the same "Convoy" (1978), then at least a certain pretentiousness.

The movie is in fact quite lackluster, both overall and compared to its various peers in the genre. There is a bare minimum of what could be called conventional action here, which mostly fits into literally the last 15 minutes of the film. The ending is open and one can only guess how the fate of the main character might have turned out.
