Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • McClane takes cover inside a plane while Stuart and his men fire guns at him. They throw grenades inside, and he gets into a seat and ejects out of the plane just as the grenades blow it up.
  • A soldier's throat is slit by Grant. Blood pumps from the wound and gurgling noises are heard as the soldier grasps at his throat. This scene is very graphic and surprising.
  • McClane and Grant brutally fight on the wing of a plane, until Grant is kicked off and sucked into the jet engine, blood sprays all over the side of the plane. Stuart comes out and fights McClane, resulting in another brutal fist fight with many punches and kicks. McClane bites a bloody chunk out of Stuart's hand, and spits out a chunk of flesh. McClane is kicked off of the plane by Stuart, however he pulls the fuel line, and lights the trail of gas the plane leaves on fire, blowing up the plane and killing Stuart and all of his men on board.
  • A plane violently crashes, resulting in a massive explosion. Everyone on board is killed.
  • Holly shocks Dick with a stun gun. (comedic)

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • An irresponsible report aboard one of the planes sends a sensationalistic report to the media, causing a panic at the airport the staff dearly wanted to avoid. A heroine shocks him with a stun gun to shut him up. While frightening, this can be played for laughs.
  • In one scene, a plane full of innocent people crashes and explodes as a result of the main terrorists shutting off the runway lights and sending false electronic navigational information to the pilots.
