- Occasional sex scenes but these are very brief and lack in nudity or detail (i.e. thrusting).

- Some stories depicted may involve themes such as rape.

- Many of the operations result in death or impairment. This is often very disturbing.
- Sometimes accidents in the show happen to vunerable people (i.e. Old people, pregnant women)

- Drugs are used non-graphically in some medical situations.
- Sometimes illegal drugs such as MDMA are taken but usually these episodes have a strong anti-drug message and the negative effects of drugs are shown. Also drugs are usually only taken by unsympathetic characters.
