A couple of bar scenes at the main camp lodge. Only adults are seen with alcohol, no teens drinking during their "hanging out" times. The main character, Chet, selects club soda during a party, because he states he is the Designated Driver.

The bear scene at the end of the movie is fairly intense and may be frightening for younger viewers.
Chet tells about his first encounter with the bear which is shown in flashback where the bear tried to break into the cabin until he scared it off by firing at it with a shotgun. The way John Candy tells the story along with the scene's score can make it quite chilling, as it is told in the style of a campfire ghost story. The scene ends with a jumpscare which can startle some people.
