  • In one episode, Roseanne and Jackie yell profanity at a truck driver, though most of the words are censored.

  • One episode revolves around a young boy discovering masturbation, and there are a number of innuendos and double entendres. The word 'masturbation' is used only once, the other references are all suggestive.

Violence & Gore

  • One episode revolves around Dan backing down during an argument with an unruly bar patron, who he ends up hitting at the end of the episode.

Profanity

  • Damn,hell,ass,and jackass are used.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One episode focuses on marijuana. The adult characters find a stash of marijuana and get high in the bathroom. The characters are seen rolling a joint, though they are not shown smoking it.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Dan angrily throws a can in the trash because of a choice that Becky makes that he does not support.
  • In Darlene's wedding, Dan suffers a heart attack,causing him to fell down; as the episode ends, you hear the sirens. We're initially told he survived but in the (original) series finale we find out he died.
  • The final scene of the original series finale is very bittersweet.
