(Welcome to The Daily Stream, an ongoing series in which the /Film team shares what they've been watching, why it's worth checking out, and where you can stream it.)
The Movie: "Hard Ticket to Hawaii"
Where You Can Stream It: Tubi
The Pitch: "Hard Ticket to Hawaii" may be nothing less than the best B-movie ever made. It is the "Die Hard" of schlock and the "Bicycle Thieves" of gratuitous nudity. Imagine Ingmar Bergman's "Cries and Whispers," but Harriet Andersson and Ingrid Thulin are played by Playboy centerfold models, Liv Ullmann is a hunky dumb jock who can't shoot straight, they're actually spies on the island of...

Trailblazing action movie auteur Andy Sidaris pioneered a kind of hard, sexy – but decidedly non-exploitative – brand of wild sex and guns and gonzo adventure film throughout the 1980s and ’90s, movies that were affectionately dubbed “Bbb” by hardcore fans. With titles like Malibu Express, Hard Ticket To Hawaii, Savage …

If you’re going to watch the movies of Andy Sidaris, you’ll require a mental divide of some sort, especially if you’re the sort of person who believes we should all be treated and viewed equally. While we all, as humans, like looking at pretty pictures of people of whatever gender floats our boat, at some point – usually about half an hour in – of one of his movies, even the most dedicated admirer of boobs will be thinking “any time you want to get back to the plot is fine by me”.
Below is the scene that first interested me in the work of Mr Sidaris. If you like it, read on, if you groan, then We Are Movie Geeks has many articles about decent movies to enjoy. Here it is:

Ah, Most Likely To Die. Another I Know What You Did Last Summer copycat. Gather some friends who hold an ugly secret and let their own demons pile the bodies one by one. Slasher 101 class in session, kiddies! It’s familiar territory we’ve seen executed time and time again, but filmmaker Anthony Diblasi attempts to school the competition despite outrageous odds. Admittedly, we’re in need of a good 90s slasher comeback, but by comparison, Diblasi’s post-graduation horror simply doesn’t make the grade. There are just too many better slasher films out there, boasting higher ambitions than “Most Likely To Deliver Exactly – And Predictably – As Advertised.”
It all starts when a group of high school buddies get together for a reunion, sharing the same swanky house. There’s Brad (Ryan Doom), a hotshot television actor, Gaby (Heather Morris), a professional poker player, Freddie (Perez Hilton), a recovering alcoholic – you get the picture.

Before you ask, the movie is titled Hard Ticket To Hawaii and contains two of the best scenes in movie history involving toys. The frisbee scene, in addition to its intelligent dialogue, unexpectedly ends in catastrophe and in a way I personally, never saw coming. The skateboard scene? Well...I don't think anyone sees that coming. I nominate Ron Moss for a belated best actor after watching his performance in this film. Anyone else with me?

I know most people aren’t as excited about this one as I am, but that’s because they don’t appreciate a good girls-and-guns flick when they see it. Andy Sidaris is treated like a God in my house, and director Marco Mak’s “Naked Soldier” seems to exist somewhere between “Hard Ticket to Hawaii” and Corey Yuen’s “So Close”. I know this is supposed to carry on in the tradition of “Naked Weapon”, but, to me, it doesn’t have the same tone. Maybe that’s just me looking back on that flick with rose-colored glasses. Anyway, take a look at this synopsis: Interpol agent Ck Long busted a billion-dollar drug deal fifteen years ago. The cartel has avenged itself by hiring Madame Rose’s organization of assassins to kill Ck Long’s entire family. In revenge, she kills the entire family of chief investigator Ck Long.

“Guns” is the theme song to a film of the same name about Playboy Playmates battling international terrorists. Cynthia Brimhall's measurements are listed as 36-25-36 so it is safe to say everything about this weekend's B-Sides is truly "B" except for her bra size.
The late, great Andy Sidaris made quite a name for himself producing a string of drive-in caliber direct-to-video T&A action flicks starring scantily-clad starlets and brawny beefcakes engaging in all-manner of crime fighting, counter-terrorism, espionage, skinny-dipping, shower montages, and frequent horizontal mamboing. The movies boasted titles like Hard Ticket to Hawaii, Fit to Kill, and Hard Hunted. Sidaris' films were like "Charlie's Angels" taken to their logical R-rated conclusion with casts top-loaded with ex-Playboy Playmates.
Actress, singer, and October 1985 Playboy Playmate of the Month Cynthia Brimhall appeared in five of Sidaris' flicks as half-naked Vegas nightclub singer/secret agent Edy Stark and performed songs for several.

10. Rambo (2008) –50-Cal Machine Gun Attack
Browning M2 machine guns have been around since the 1930s, so what makes this scene so ridiculous and even funny? Try using said monster gun on a terrorist sitting five feet away. The result is an explosion of glass, guts, and metal in the front seat of a jeep. Rambo then proceeds to cut a dozen guys clean in half with the 50-caliber machine gun. The carnage takes on absurd heights throughout the entire movie (bare-handed throat rip!) but this scene is the ultimate representation of overkill – literally.
9. Hard Ticket to Hawaii (1987) – Skater’s Death
Guys who skateboard on their hands for no reason kinda deserve to die. Actually, calling yourself “Skater” is reason enough to die. So luckily for us, this idiot encounters a pair of muscleheads who happen to be toting a multi-barreled bazooka. Then again, these dudes seem to be invulnerable to a bullet in the chest,...
