Sex & Nudity

  • No sex or nudity at all.
  • We briefly see a belly dancer on a TV, which is neither sex nor nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • Two fistfights between Norris' character and some terrorists, and several shootouts. There is some blood, but nothing too gory or bloody. The last half of the movie has most of the action, with many shootouts and chases, but most of the violence is PG-13 level, and not too bad.
  • A fight scene near the end of the movie leaves a lot of blood on a man's face and in walls.
  • A man who is hiding under a bed is shot, leaving a lot of blood on him.
  • A man is beaten up, leaving him very bloody, he is later shot on his back which is accompanied with a bloody squib, his body also falls from a landed plane brutally on to the ground.
  • Some bloodless and bloody shotings.
  • While some of it may have been somewhat graphic for the time, it really does come off as tame. That it took long to be from a hard R to a moderate one (in the UK equivalent, 18 to 15) is surprising. This is one of Chuck Norris's lighter films.
  • Some scenes violence involving gunplay, and hand to hand combat that results in some blood.

Profanity

  • A clean movie in this regard, as well as in sexual content. Most of this regard. Very little language or coarse dialogue.
  • 2 uses of "godd*mn", 5 uses of "hell", 2 uses of 'ass', 8 D-words, 2 uses of 'son of a bitch' (once paired with a faint 'fuckin'), 5 uses of 'shit', and 1 usage of "bastard".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man is seen in a bar (he doesn't drink though).
  • People are drinking Budweisers on a plane.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The two highjackers beat innocent people with their fist, guns and a plane chair arm. The scenes of torture through sleep-deprivation and the plane being taken over are the most intense parts of the film.
  • While this may have been brutal a little, in 1986, it really isn't super brutal. This is a very light-hearted movie compared to Chuck Norris's other movies. This is a buddy action movie, about teamwork, as opposed to his one-many army dark movies like "Code of Silence," "Invasion USA," "The Hitman." There are even some funny scenes. This is borderline an action-comedy at moments. Even some of the shootings (by the good guys) seem like something out of an action comedy.
  • While the terrorist scene is intense, the rest of the movie isn't. There isn't peril. The entire movie, the upbeat theme to this movie, without giving too much away, is designed to let you know the good guys are probably going to win. That doesn't account for whether some good guys are lost though.
