One of the More Memorable Shows I Watched as a Child.
Miss_Mandoli2 May 2014
If there was one show that I can remember from when I was younger, it was Adventures in Wonderland. I believe that I watched the show when it was in its rerun phase in the mid to late-90s (I may have been a little TOO young when it first aired on Disney - that, or the channel might have been a PPV-esque channel; I can't remember.) This was a wholesome show, with a delightful cast of characters and life lessons that children (and even the older crowd) can learn and grow up with. The songs were creative, and there are some that have even been stuck in my head at periods of time. I don't think I can pick any one episode that stands out as my favorite, because I like too many of them to decide! A lot of the episodes have been posted on the internet, so my memory has been re-visited on plenty of occasions. It took me back to my youthful days, and I haven't regretted it one second. If you want to see what a good children's show was in the 90s, Adventures in Wonderland is your best bet.

Wonderful show
indiewastelander6 September 2001
I remember when this show was on Disney a long time ago. I wish Disney were like it were then than like it is now. This show had wonderful music, education, and situations. And seeing 12-year-old Elisabeth Harnois is the best thing about it, she was the perfect person to play Alice. There's nothing I don't like about this show. It had all of the characters and was perfect. Try to find the videos P.S. This show is in desperate need of a reunion, so if any screenwriters see this, consider it since Elisabeth Harnois has grown to be an Oscar worthy, beautiful actress, she won't turn this one down, trust me.

Absolutely Awesome Educational Program
michael_the_nermal15 December 2006
This show was one of the Disney Channel's best original series. It was a hip, entertaining, and always creative educational program that surpassed many efforts on PBS. It managed to teach children lessons about morality and grammar while also featuring talented and funny performers. I may admit the show may have been a bit preachy, but never did any of the characters talk down to one another. Although most of the actors were, and still are, unknowns, their energy always ensured that this program remained entertaining. The sets, costumes, and puppets reflected the charming and outrageous feel of this program. I really enjoyed this show when I was a kid and still recall fond memories about it.

Let's hope that DVDs of this excellent program have been released so that the next generation of kids can enjoy this gem.

Needs a Disney+ Release
baileycrawly8 September 2020
I don't know that we have any other show that truly captures the heart, spirit and oddities of the 90s. And I loved every second of it.

Every single episode of this show had a purpose, it wasn't just mindless entertainment. They used their airtime to teach valuable lessons ranging from grammar to racism, and they did it in such a way that never once went over the heads of their target audiences. The writers on this show, both in the dialogue and the music, had a real gift for presenting difficult subject matter in an easily digestible package for young viewers.

And you can't talk about this show without mentioning the music. Every single episode feels like a mini broadway show, with very well produced musical numbers that are catchy, educational and fun simultaneously. They stick in your head, and some of them still haven't left me all these years later.

This series never truly felt like a TV show. Every single episode was given the love and care of a much bigger production, and no corners were cut. All the actors gave their all every time the cameras were rolling, and it produced a show that, while a product of its time (and an endless series of memes waiting to happen), holds up its quality fairly well and needs to be seen again.

I was hoping to see this show on Disney+ back when it launched but, unfortunately, we still haven't gotten a proper release of this series. Here's hoping Disney comes to their senses, gives this a proper HD remaster and makes it available to the world yet again. With the exception of outdated technology and a few dated references, this show still holds up today and the lessons are timeless. This needs to be available again.

It's on Disney+

I remember watching this on the Disney Channel when I was a kid back in the early 1990's. It was my favorite show. I've always been a fan of the two Alice books and anything having to do with those characters. It was and is a groundbreaking show and now you can watch every episode on Disney+. I've been having a great time rewatching it after all these years.

I NEED TO SEE THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN!
trollees19 November 2020
I loved this show and I was about 40! I am finally downsizing and found the VHS tapes. But, of course, no player. I watched it over and over. I esp loved the music! Actually the show was bright and funny and serious, too. I am sure it will never be released from the Disney vaults. It was too good and too intelligent! Our loss.

I would like to see this on TV again.

All children should watch this show. It's educational, funny (sometimes even hilarious), and fun. It has many songs, good problems to teach kids, and "regular," but somewhat nicer wonderland characters. For all parents who are reading this comment right now, next time when you're at the video rental, rent and watch this show to see if YOU think this is a GREAT children's series.

Love it!!!!!!!
njg200711 July 2005
I used to watch this ALL the time. I never missed an episode. I love it. It was a perfect show. I don't know why Disney or any channel doesn't show it any more. It was funny, but you could learn from it. I loved the songs. They were wonderful. You couldn't help but sing along. I have two videos and I still get them out and watch it every now and then. I love ALL the characters...Alice..The Queen..The White Rabbit...Caterpillar...The Tweedles...The Cat..Doormouse..March Hare..and the Mad Hatter. I think that is everybody. I still remember some of the lines they said. It was a good show. I agree that they should have a reunion...Alice Going Back To Wonderland...It would be Super...but then again...I would want it to be the same...so it might be best to leave it. I don't know. I just know this is a good show for any age.

Great Tv Show! Great Videos!
HollywoodMich12 May 2002
After years of loving this show as a kid I've finally found episodes of the show! And I bought them as soon as I could! I remember certain episodes of the show like how Alice would always start the show with a problem and walk into her sister's room and talk to dinah then she'd go through the looking glass and the main credits rolled!!! And I remember this episode where Alice found her sister's new perfume and acciedntly spilt on herself all over and she really stunk and so fourth. Then there was an episode where she wanted to change her hair and the mad hatter and march hare accidently die in Green! I love this show!! The sets!! The Costumes!! The songs!! The Characters!! The acting!! I cannot wait to get my 3 videos!

Amazing Song Sequences
peterhuntley16 April 2003
This show was absolutely AMAZING. I would tape every show and sometimes make a "best of" tape of all the songs. The best episode was when Alice dressed as a guy to join the "boys only" club in Wonderland. EVERY song in that episode was amazing.

"So let's even out the odds It's the proper thing to do With a club for boys and girls one that's fresh and new

We can play and dance we'll have alot of fun So let's even out the odds and have a club for everyone"

Wow, I did that from memory.
