A Showscan film produced for the Toshiba Pavilion at Expo '85 in Tsukuba, Japan. Trumbull designed and patented a remote-controlled character named PAL (after making his film Silent Running in 1971), which was a robotic puppet via a high-tech version of Japanese Bunraku puppetry, performed from below by master puppeteer Bruce Schwartz. PAL was the inspiration for the Johnny 5 robotic puppet in the movie "Short Circuit" (1986). Steven Spielberg saw the "Let's Go" at the Expo and and passed it on to director John Badham.
