158 kills (155 gremlins, and 3 Humans)
Tons of Gremlins are killed and maimed in violent and gruesome ways. The blood is green, but it still might be too much for the squeamish or easily nauseous.
Billy's mother stabs a gremlin with a butcher knife multiple times.
The gremlin leader shoots one of his subordinates in the head for cheating at poker.
it is important to note that while multiple gremlins die on screen in a bloody (albeit greenish blood) fashion, no humans that die are shown losing body parts or bleeding majorly.
Two police officers meant to help the town's citizens instead flee in their squad car. The gremlins, however; cut their break-line, causing the car to crash and overturn with another vehicle. We hear an off-screen explosion, implying their deaths.
The main plot of the film is the evil Gremlins leader, to cause chaos in town at night. There's slapstick violence involve Gremlins at night time.
Billy is severely injured in the ending scene and is seen wearing a cast at the end.
Billy's mom turns a blender on while a gremlin is eating out of it, causing green slime to splatter everywhere.
Another gremlin is thrown in the microwave and blows up, splattering slime all over the microwave.

There's talk of suicide early in the film
Other than a couple of suspenseful scenes, the movie isn't too scary as it's mostly mischevious creatures being mischevious.
At first the mogwai are cute, but once they "morph" into the more dangerous gremlins, they seem creepy and scary.
A lot of the violence may be scary, but all of it is meant to be so over the top.
The film's comedy is often-times dark and cynical, satirizing small-town America and traditional Christmas cheer. Humor is continually derived from death, violence and mayhem.
Barney the dog gets tangled up in Christmas lights by the gremlins. Even though he is later shown to be completely fine, the thought that Barney was injured or killed may be disturbing for dog lovers.
