Sex & Nudity

  • No actual sex or nudity of any kind
  • There is a very subtly implied sexual relationship between Richard and Anne. This is referred to in the text itself. Not even remotely inappropriate, however.

Violence & Gore

  • Very mild violence, following the events of Shakespeare's play exactly. Nothing graphic or disturbing.
  • G, or PG-rated at the worst, based just on the very mild violence. Not a very high quality production, but it is entirely appropriate for family viewing and classroom usage.

Profanity

  • None. This film follows the text of Shakespeare exactly.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Mild drinking by adults. Nothing inappropriate.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Mild violence and civil strife and conflict. Richard tries to kill anyone who gets in his way in order to usurp the throne of England. None of this is portrayed in a particularly intense or violent fashion.
  • While this is a minimalist production of Shakespeare's play and may not interest children, there is no disturbing or inappropriate content whatsoever. Completely wholesome and suitable for all ages.
