Final film of Portia Nelson.
In the scene one hour and nine minutes in, when Jennifer and Adam are on the beach, made red by the setting sun, which one assumes is the case, for in the next scene, they are up in the morning, this means the sun should be to the west. This would not normally be the case on the New York Atlantic Coast, which mostly looks east. Now it could be they were on a part of that coast that does look west, such as the western edge of Long Island, looking back towards New York City. Just as likely, this scene was filmed at a beach in California, given the miniseries may well have been filmed there.
When Jennifer encounters Bailey in the office late at night, where he had apparently been drinking (an empty whiskey bottle on the desk in front of him), she exclaims that he was supposed to have met her at the Manhattan Club. This could have been one of two places. There is the timeshare section of Park Central Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, where they may have had a place to meet. More likely this was the Manhattan Social Club, which had been founded by John Van Buren, whose father had been a US President. This place lasted from 1865 - 1979. Now although this miniseries was made in 1983, the book it is based upon was not completed until 1980, and the author may well have written it, setting in the late seventies, before the club was dissolved at that time.
