All glitz and no guts

This was a pretty movie to look out. I cannot see how you could say it was "revealing" in the slightest about these models or the fashion world. I wish I had heard of any of these models! It was OK for a 99 cent rental.

very 80's high camp frivolity

this movie speaks oodles about the era. before aids took it's grip and shoulder pads and heavy blush rein supreme. this is just plain fun and a fantastic look at the glamor and fluff that was the early 80's. it follows the unrealistic world of the rise and rise a model and the "whos" she comes into contact with along the way and the painful changes she must endure to reach the pinnacle. crammed with many, still famous fashion people a-la Steven Meisel et Patrick Demarchelier. well worth a look to see the "it" people of the day in an unscripted journey into the crazy world of fashion, high heels and belted t-shirts. if you want to forget todays woes this movie is a+. and if you were there the first time around (and survived) you will get a kick out of it too.

Love this!

It's a flash in time, it's a capsule in a world most don't get to see. Love the soundtrack and the designers creations as well as the personal thoughts about the time period
