When Brewster falls out the bathroom window at the gas station, he gets up and you can see a train rolling by in the background. In the next shot, the train is stopped, and then in the shot following that, the train has disappeared completely.
The number 3 race car driven by Ricky Rudd is a Pontiac Grand Prix, which is shown several times at the start of the race. In the crash sequence it is a Buick Regal.
At the Atlanta Int'l Speedway the weather keeps changing from clear to cloudy and partly cloudy. In some shots it's hazy in the background (beyond the track) and in some it's not.
The car driven by Baker's nemesis is a Dodge Mirada but is constantly (and incorrectly) referred to as a Buick.
While Brewster is in the bar, the kids are out in the parking lot raiding other race cars for parts to put back on Brewster's car. One of the kids is shown removing the lug nuts off a potential donor car. The wheels on this car have the standard lug pattern common to stock production vehicles. Brewster's car is running wide five hubs on all four corners. While the potential is there to use the tires, the rims would be useless and thus make for a pretty senseless heist, seeing as how his car needs both rims and tires.
During the Atlanta Grand National race, Brewster pits to change right side tires, the tire waiting to be put on the right front is marked LF (left front).
When after Swifty busts Brewster out of jail and Sheriff John and Deputy Otis chase after Brewster's motor home, a camera truck can be briefly seen to the extreme left of the screen following the motor home.
When the sheriff's car begins "self destructing", a small piston can be seen pushing the hood up.
When Terk arrives at the track and steps out of his camper to greet his fans, the reflection of the sound man holding the boom can be seen in the campers window.
