- During a match in a boxing ring, four women stand ringside wearing closefitting and revealing swimsuits.
- Rocky and Adrian kisses in the nature, during a montage.
- A man flirts with a woman in front of her husband, and invites her to his apartment.
- Several men are shirtless during physical training and boxing matches.
- A husband and wife lay together, but fully clothed and not sexual.
Violence & Gore

- This film has heavier bloody boxing violence than any of the Rocky movies.
- Rocky faces a wrestler in a charity event. Wrestling moves are used on Rocky, yet he never seems to be in extreme pain or shows cuts or bruising. Rocky is thrown out the ring. He then uses his bare knuckles to hit the wrestler, and then throws him. Both men are relatively uninjured after the fight.
- The first boxing match between Clubber and Rocky is brutal. Rocky hits Clubber but he shows no pain. Clubber comes back and brutally beats Rock, causing cuts across his face. In the next round he is knocked out.
- In the rematch, Rocky and Clubber both beat each other, with some blood.

- Spectators in an arena make crude gestures.
- Several instances of mild name-calling throughout, including taunts and insults.

- A scene takes place in a bar where people smoke and drink.
- One of the main characters smokes a cigar while leaving a bar drunk. He continues to drink liquor from a bottle while walking around and has a violent outburst. He wakes up in jail. The scene is meant to be disorienting.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Rocky loses the first fight brutally against Clubber Lang.
- Two men argue and then lunge at each other, but are held back.
- The boxing matches are very intense.
- A character is dying while another is being brutally beaten. A man then screams in agony over the body of the character who dies.
Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- The main antagonist pushes Rocky's trainer, who has a weak heart and later dies.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Mickey gets pushed by Mr. T which triggers him having a heart attack. He dies with his last words to Rocky "I love you, kid".
- Whilst training with Apollo Creed, depressed Rocky fails several times and wants to quit due to Mickey's death.
