I studied Russian culture at the University for a short time and so I watched several films from the Soviet Union. I saw the Russian adaptation of Stevenson's Treasure Island. I admit, I was surprised by this, I didn't think the Russians were able to interpret this author so interestingly. Before that I only looked at the English "treasure island", 1972. Russian I watched a movie with subtitles (a bit), because I had to study to get to know the Russian language. It was an interesting experience for my language and for impressions of the Soviet film. And even I understand that the budget was small, but I loved the images and performances of the actors. Silver has no less treacherous and cunning Russians, as and in the English version of. But I liked how he became friends with Bob. Of course, the fight scenes look naive, but it doesn't disturb the plot. I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see an unknown version of "treasure Island", especially the Soviet, who you don't even suspect
