Sex & Nudity

  • A man and a woman kiss and undress each other. His bare hip and partial rear is visible in close-up, as are her bare breasts and hip, though briefly. both are seen nude only in close-ups, and are using a body doubles.
  • A nude man and a woman shower together behind opaque glass. Little nudity is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • There are many supposedly freak/questionable, but fatal occurrences all caused by the dog. There is not much gore, but the death scenes are disturbing.
  • The film opens with a brutal dog attack.
  • A man is struck by a car, and lies in the street bleeding from the head.
  • A woman is electrocuted while in the bath.
  • A man is strangled by a leash as he naps against a tree. The dog circles the tree, winding the leash around the man's neck.
  • A man is given a glass of tonic to which the dog has added lye powder. After drinking, he gags and chokes while bloody foam leaks from his mouth.
  • A woman lures a dog over the edge of a cliff by throwing a frisbee. The dog's bloody body is seen halfway down cliff.
  • The final scene loops back to the opening of the movie as a woman is being savaged by the dog, much less intense this time around.

Profanity

  • A few uses of mild profanities only, including "shit" and "damn".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Cigarette smoking and social drinking in a couple of scenes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Each of the death scenes is intense and frightening.
  • Ambulances and police officers respond to each incident.
  • The main character reacts to each death with intense emotional displays.
  • A woman's corpse is seen a casket at a funeral.
  • The members of a dysfunctional family speak disrespectfully to and about each other at the aforementioned funeral.
  • There are flashes of violent and frightening images that occur unexpectedly at various points of the film.
  • The dog disrupts the breaker box causing a housewide blackout, but the problem is resolved without incident.
  • A woman uses a dog as an instrument of vengeance via a tag engraved with a Pentagram, suggesting occult/Satanic involvement. The dog then carries out the woman's wishes, killing off members of her family, persons close to them, and any who interfere.
