Sex & Nudity

  • Early in the film, Jess and Rivka (his wife) are seen in bed together. Rivka suggestively whispers "I think Papa's asleep..." and starts kissing Jess. Jess at this point is more preoccupied with his music, and asks Rivka if he can "take a raincheck." No nudity or sex is shown. There is also a love scene between Jess and Molly, about three quarters through. Toward the end of the scene, Jess and Molly slip each other's shirt off while kissing, and you see Molly's bare shoulders briefly. No nudity to speak of.

Violence & Gore

Profanity

  • Extremely mild. Two uses of "a*s" (one played for a laugh) and one muttered use of "sh*t".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Mild. Jess' father, Cantor Rabinovich, is seen drinking wine or scnhapps once or twice, including at a gathering, which appears to be a Jewish festival. Jess is briefly seen lighting a cigarette once or twice during a sadder part of the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film overall is mild, and pretty much family friendly. Plenty of feel-good moments throughout. However, the strained relationship between Jess and his father makes for some emotional (albeit brief) moments.
