Helen Mirren is still shocked she was made a Dame - because the actress thought she was too "raunchy" to be honoured by the Queen.
The Oscar-winning star was included in British monarch Queen Elizabeth II's honours list in 2003.
And Mirren was astounded by the high profile accolade because she was convinced her saucy roles in movies including Hussy and The Cook and His Wife & Her Lover had ruined her reputation.
She tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "I was very surprised because I thought I was not that sort. I was always a bit raunchy, so I thought, 'I'll never be a Dame, I'm not the right sort of person.' So I was really honoured. It's always great to be recognised by your country."...
