In the grip of substance addiction, and trapped in a complicated, almost destructive relationship with his actress girlfriend, Ana, the frustrated horror-movie director, José Sirgado, returns home after a long day in the editing room. There, a woman in his bed and a surprise in the shape of an intriguing package await him: a spool of developed Super-8 film and a cassette tape created by Pedro, an obsessive filmmaker and strange cousin of Sirgado's ex-girlfriend, Marta. Now, as José devours the mysterious but equally captivating audio-visual material, using heroin as a means of enlightenment, an inscrutable correlation between the vampiric force of José's poison of choice and filmmaking is starting to take place.
