The opening episode in the series introduces us to G-Force - 5 orphans enlisted to defend the Earth against enemies from the hostile world of Spectra. The first attack comes in the form of the space terrapin - a giant, turtle-like machine heavily armed and able to crush Earth's air & sea defences. G-Force is called in to deal with it, as the sinister Zoltar & the terrapin's C.O., Commander Gorak, attack Earth's shipping lanes and try to steal a substance known as VitaLumen. When G-Force members steal aboard the Terrapin, they find themselves in trouble when they are cornered by Spectran soldiers...

When 2 astronauts returning from a mission disappear on reentry, G-Force is called in to investigate. Chief Anderson warns that the astronauts have probably been captured by Spectra as they had uncovered the location of giant, undetected alien bases on Earth. The data was kept on a tape in the astronauts' capsule but is now in the hands of Commander Gorak and Spectra. G-Force must locate the Spectrans' main base, rescue the astronauts, and find the data tape before it can be returned to Spectra...

On the planet Zarcadia, discovered by 7-Zark-7, a series of mysterious plane accidents are occurring. There is no mention of turbulence - only 'something white', according to Chief Anderson. When G-Force reaches Zarcadia Mark encounters a titanic mummy - apparently powered by a highly radioactive element called 'Plutonium X', manufactured only by Spectra. The only antidote, something called Anti-Pluton, is in the hands of its creator, a Dr. Sweet, who resides on the planet. His nephew, Buddy, is the son of one of the missing pilots. When his dad apparently returns, he is caught searching Dr. Sweet's safe. The man is none other than Zoltar, and later that night the mummy attacks the airport. -Force must find a way to eliminate the mummy before it can destroy Zarcadia - and them....

An outsized mechanical death machine, the Space Serpent, is causing massive earthquakes and destroying Earth's oil refineries. Mark is sent to investigate with a geologist colleague, who suspects he can locate the source of the problem. The 2 men are caught in a quake and evacuate the building, but the geologist falls into a hole created by the Space Serpent. Despite Mark's best efforts, he is unable to rescue the man and is forced to flee himself. The man's daughter turns her anger on Mark, until the G-Force team brings her face-to-face with Spectra's horrible death machine..

On the remote planet Mir, an underwater station is being built. A series of losses of equipment is delaying its construction, and Intergalactic Federation President Cain suspects that the planet's deposed leader is now in league with Spectra. It turns out he is correct. G-Force flies to Mir to investigate and finds themselves up against a fleet of warships, which self-destruct to release an army of deadly aircraft. The Phoenix quickly runs out of ammunition against the aircraft. Will they be able to escape?

Mark is chosen to test pilot a new aircraft at an airshow. As he starts his takeoff roll, a sinister biplane appears and attacks his plane, crippling it and forcing Mark to bail out over the water. The pilot is the mysterious Captain Doom, a space pirate from the distant planet Urgos. Anderson immediately orders the team to go after Doom after rescuing Mark, but the fight ends badly for them as Capt. Doom's plane damages the Phoenix. After escaping back to Center Neptune, the team is ordered back to the mysterious space pirate's home world to face him.... on HIS terms.
