Sex & Nudity
-
- Stage performance of King Lear from 1974. A few good and notable actors, but not a great version of the play overall.
- Implied adultery by some of the wicked characters of the play
Violence & Gore
-
- Mild violence, consistent with Shakespeare's play. Not graphic, but somewhat intense and disturbing at times.
- Man cuts his own arm and draws blood to falsely accuse someone else of attacking him
- A man's eyes are cut out with knives. This is the most violent part of the play, but it is not all that realistic in this production.
Profanity
-
- None. Every line is taken verbatim from Shakespeare's play.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- None except social drinking by adults
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The entire play itself is intense and somewhat disturbing at times, but it is consistent with what Shakespeare himself wrote.
