Ran continuously at the Moulin Cinema in London's West End from 1977 to 1981, earning the record for the longest theatrical run in British cinema history (as of Feb. 2000).
Many of the sexy women in the film (Mary Millington, Pat Astley, Penny Chisholm, Nicola Austin) were nude models supplied by executive producer David Sullivan, who published a series of men's magazines at the time. Millington was Sullivan's girlfriend.
After seeing a rough cut of the film, executive producer David Sullivan and representatives of the distributor Tigon thought the film needed more nudity, especially more of nude model and porn actress Mary Millington, who was considered one of the "two hottest British sex film stars of the seventies" (the other being Fiona Richmond.) So several additional scenes were filmed.
Several hardcore porn scenes were shot, which would have appeared towards the end of the film. They included the lesbian scene between Mary Millington and Penny Chisholm, as well as the heterosexual sex scenes between Lisa Taylor and Derek Aylward, Suzette Sangalo Bond and an unknown male, and Sonia Svenberger and Gordon Hickman. However, before the film was released, all those scenes were edited to cut out any explicit footage, which reportedly went missing soon afterward. These scenes remain in the film, albeit heavily cut down to softcore, with only a close up of Chisholm's "flushed" face while Millington performed oral on her, remaining. Reportedly, Marks and Sullivan never intended to release the hardcore versions in the film. They just filmed the scenes to impress investors visiting the set.
