Pretty good erotic romp
ajji-26 June 2007
I saw this film - by chance - way back in 1995 on VHS. This was recorded as a second feature on a tape I had bought, and I was pretty pleased with this unexpected bonus. The film is good enough in terms of erotica, without being anything special. The version I saw was edited crudely from the hardcore version, so that while it was ostensibly 'softcore', you could tell that the performers were really doing the deed. However, this is an old film, when even porn took time to focus on things like story, character, etc, unlike the mechanized, by-the-numbers contemporary porn. Hence, the camera doesn't often close in on the 'action', and therefore the cuts were few and far between. I realized fairly recently that the director of this film is a famed cinematographer and has worked in that capacity on many mainstream Hollywood films (The Brady Bunch Movie, etc), and a lot of famous horror films (House, Re-Animator, etc)! No worries, Mac...this film is certainly nothing to be ashamed of, in your list of credits.

Too bad a mate pinched my copy of the VHS, as I'd love to revisit this film. Oh, well...maybe I can find the uncut version this time...

Second Coming of Eva was indeed sloppy seconds. Yet, it's better than other porno chic films, I saw.
ironhorse_iv24 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Was this very sexual graphic hardcore movie supposed to be sexy? What the hell are they teaching these people! Free love orgy without any protection? Come and get it!? No thanks. I hate outdated sloppy seconds. I was very surprising to find out that this movie was directed by Mac Ahlberg. Ahlberg would later become famous for being the cinematographer for such late 1980s/ early 1990s hits like The Wonder Years, The Brady Bunch Movies (1995 & 1996) and 1994's Beverly Hills Cop III. He has also have a lot of horror movies and kid movies under his belt. It's weird to see him, starting out directing and writing porn films. I guess, you have to start out, somewhere. The story goes like this; young schoolgirl Eva (Teresa Svensson) is Hypersexuality. Eva's older sister, Elsa (Kim Frank) sends her off to a girls' boarding school, where she is assured that Eva will receive proper moral guidance and forget her sexual obsessions. Eva, however, discovers that the school isn't quite what her sister thinks it is, as the school looks very proper and mundane on the outside, it's actually populated by all manner of pervert and deviant. The movie was played for comedy, but when you think deep about it. These people in the school might have some seriously mental health problems. After all, the nymphomania of women cause five women to gang up on a man who unwilling doesn't want sex, and raped him. Then, there was another scene where a man is dragged along in pain, as a woman grins on to his penis way too hard. Are these scenes supposed to be funny? Then there is the scene where one of the character told another person, how fishy the women vagina odor is. That's abnormal!! If it's smell like that, that means they got a sexually transmitted infection or really bad hygiene. That's pretty gross. God knows, how many STDs were transfer during the course of this film. You can really tell that this movie is from the 1970s with the overgrown pubic hair, lack of protection, bad clothes, and awful background music. This movie has a lots of fake moaning and over-acting. Still, this erotic flick is a lot better than some of the other porno chic at the time. There were some really attractive women from Sweden & Germany in this film. Bridgette Maier and Kim Frank are some of them. Sadly, not that many as I wish, as some of them look like crack heads. I didn't like any of the girls from Beirut. It was also a bit disturbing to see a skinny woman cowgirl riding a man with her expose rib cage showing in the camera beneath her thin skin. It's also gross to watch some really attractive women have intercourse with some really ugly looking men. I don't think I ever want to see the John Cleese looking fellow Bo Goldenrod or Gyllenstake (Rune Hallberg) in the nude, ever again. The humor is mostly a miss than a hit to me. Still, it was a bit funny to see the Bo Gyllenstake try to hide the fact that his school is one big sex den to the an ultra-conservative, puritanical lawyer/ private investigator Roderick Elliot (Jack Frank). I can do without the loud siren orgasm from Eva and her sister, as it hurts my ears. I found it very annoying and had to mute her sex scenes. For a full 90 minutes, the sex scenes were alright for the time period where it was shot. It was a bit weird, to see little to no 'money shots'. The movie could be hard to find, due to it, having multiply titles like Scandal School or Porn Scandal in School. Some versions might not have the awful English dubbing and English subtitles. So you might have to learn Swedish if you find a DVD like that. Others might be cut, so look for the uncut version. The video transfer in most of the DVDs looks decent. The image is somewhat soft, with evident film-grain and a tiny bit of damage here and there - to be expected with a cheapie film of this age. Colors are decently skin tone, but a little faded. Overall: The Second Coming of Eva is fun old-fashioned pornography that's safe for sensitive couples or nostalgia eroticism thrill seekers. It's not a good movie at any means, but if you want to spank your monkey off to 1970s porno chic. Then check it out. It's a lot better than other films from that era.

Entertaining Skandi Porn
augustian11 January 2018
The great thing about old European and indeed American porn films like this is that they contain not just the porn segments but comedic and drama elements as well. The writer/director Mac Ahlberg shows that he knows how to keep the viewer entertained with a good story and not too much porn that it gets repetitious and boring - certainly not the so-called all-action porn served up nowadays. The music soundtrack from Claes Oesterdahl compliments the film very well.

Teresa Svensson plays Eva, a young woman discovering her sexuality but her secret self-pleasuring is discovered by her repressed sister, played by Kim frank. The school to which Eva is sent is not all it is supposed to be and although Eva at first declines the special tuition, she eventually succumbs. (this is a hard core porn film so what do you expect?) The sex scenes are erotic to a degree but it does seem as if this film was made without the benefit of a steadicam, the cameraman, at times getting as animated as the actors. The film on DVD is well worth searching out.

tame but watchable Scandinavian feature
rduchmann9 June 2000
Swedish schoolgirl (pretty mature-looking to me) Theresa Svensson is caught exploring her sexuality and her prim older sister ships her off to boarding school. However it's obviously the Swedish campus of Harrad University and faculty-student relations are quite friendly. Helpful American exchange coed Brigitte Maier gives Eva some private lessons, and Eva adapts them to hetero. Meanwhile, a stuffy lawyer arrives to investigate the school and the frisky coeds decide to convert him from puritanism.

Directed by renowned cinematographer Mac Ahlberg, this is a cute comedy with a number of pretty, naked girls and a few segments of XXX. American Brigitte Maier does lioness' share of the outright hardcore (not that there is a lot of it in any case). Annica Salomonsson, wow-level brunette beauty, bares her body but does nothing explicit, and lead Svensson offers only some nudity and receives a bit of pretty girl-girl from Maier. Picture could have been shot soft X with no loss whatever. Anyone looking for heat is advised to look elsewhere, fast! Given that they've already seen AMERICAN PIE, there are only one or two places where you'd even bother sending your own over-12s out of the room while this is playing. Amiable enough for what it is.

And the third. . .and the fourth. . .and the fifth... and the. . .
lazarillo2 April 2011
A dissolute, lecherous scoundrel name "Bo Goldenrod" has a chance to inherit a fortune from his late moralistic uncle, but first he has to prove he can do something for the betterment of society. So he decides to create a school for "troubled girls" (you can quickly see where this is going). Strangely his "pupils" all look to be at least twenty, including the title character "Eva" who is first seen having a VERY wet dream after which she is shipped off to the school by her prim older sister. Anyway, as soon as the parents are out the door, a massive orgy erupts led by two stripper/prostitutes from Beirut(?) who are hiding out at the new school. The orgy starts out softcore, but eventually goes hardcore (though lacking in the "money shots" traditional to American XXX).

Eva initially resists participating in the orgy, but she is soon seduced first by a women, then by a man,and she proves to be a real "screamer". This is a problem because a lawyer hired by "Goldenrod's" greedy family is hanging around, hoping to find evidence against the nephew, and "Eva's" sister also shows up suspecting something is amiss (But what do you think the chances are that these two will end up joining the festivities?).

Frankly, the "plot" here goes to hell as soon hardcore sex rears its spunky head. It's not a great plot, anyway, but if you compare this to the softcore sex comedy of the contemporary Danish "Bedside" series or some of director Mac Ahlberg's softcore films ("I,a Woman", "Around the World with Fanny Hill"), this is significantly less entertaining--unless, of course, you're a crazed onanist (look that up if you need to) who wants to watch people have sex for 90 minutes straight. On the plus side though Alberg is a good cinematographer (who would later find success in Hollywood), the music is pretty good (and it rarely is in XXX porn), and the girls are all pretty with no silicone in sight. (Also, at no point, does Ron Jeremy show up. . .). There's too much XXX here if you don't like XXX, and if you do, there's probably not enough. I've seen worse movies though.

The first coming of Eva.
morrison-dylan-fan30 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Looking at the titles fellow posters had watched during ICM's Nordic cinema viewing challenge,I realised that no one had slid their hands into the Golden Age of Adult Nordic cinema (shameful!) For my final viewing of the challenge I bravely decided to correct that,by going to meet Eva.

View on the film:

Enlightening the congregation of viewers with the first coming of Eva in the opening shot, writer/director Mac Ahlberg & cinematographer Andreas Bellis keep the mood established from the opening shot, with a highly erotic, glossy atmosphere of slick bright lighting showing the enthusiasm of the cast in the best light, and trim panning shots catching every wave of lust from each corner of the school.

Filming the frisky frolics inside a real university, Ahlberg and Bellis show a unexpected interest in offering a full rear view of the location, going out to the grounds when backed by Claes Oesterdahl's blazing psychedelic score to catch couples in the midst of passion on "magic hour",going back in for funny Benny Hill-style sped-up film slap-stick gags, and a blending of Oesterdahl's score with a scream making the walls shake.

Sending Eva to improve her carnal knowledge grades at school, the screenplay by Ahlberg bends Eva receiving a saucy welcome with cheeky Comedy antics of a school inspector putting this school for scoundrels under risk of getting shut. Playing the straight man, Jack Frank gives a good boo-hiss turn as school inspector Mr. Elliot, whilst fittie centrefold Brigitte Maier sizzles on screen as a fellow student, and Teresa Svensson brings wide-eyed excitement to the second coming.

For Brigette Maier Completists
Boodikka8 July 2000
This is just an adult trifle. I've seen both soft and hardcore versions of this. It's really only of worth if you have a great interest in Penthouse Pet/porn star Maier; otherwise it's like any other '70s European adult fare. There are some mildly amusing sequences towards the end. Be aware that other Maier films, especially those made with Lasse Braun (Sensations) can be extremely explicit, kinky and even somewhat offensive.
