I watched this one on Amazon Prime under the title CHARLESTON & TRINITY. It's a straightforward copy of one of the successful Terence Hill/Bud Spencer comedies that were all the rage back in the 1970s. The story is episodic and features a small-time scammer going up against some big-time hoods, occasionally aided by a muscle-building priest.
As far as genre standards go, this isn't one of the best. Too much of the screen time is occupied by cheesy romance material that goes nowhere. Spaghetti western stalwart Giuliano Gemma take on the Hill role but doesn't have much depth to his character, occasionally smirking and running around a lot and that's about it. The unknown Swedish actor Ricky Bruch is much better as the hulking priest even though this was his film debut, and the brawling action of the climax excites and entertains, even if the rest of the film is strictly average. Once again, THE STING seems to have been the main source of inspiration for the Italian production crew.
