Quotes

  • Ginger : I just don't dig violence in any form. If I'm gonna throw a bomb, it's gonna be a love bomb. If I'm gonna trip out, it's gonna to be a love trip. You know what I mean?

    Joe : I think so.

Ginger : I still have faith in my fellow human beings, and so far I'm right.

    Joe : Well, so far.

Ginger : It's really weird, though. People are more afraid of love than hate. And love is so much stronger than hate or violence. Just a lot harder to come by.

  • Ginger : What's it called?

    Joe : Irish coffee.

Ginger : You know what I told you about coffee.

Joe : It's just a name. I mean, a fogcutter doesn't have fog in it, does it? Give it a try.

Ginger : Tastes pretty good. Hmm. I think this has booze in it.

    Joe : By golly,I think you're right.

  • Ginger : You know what's wrong with this country?

Joe : No, what's wrong with this country?

Ginger : No exercise. People just stuff themselves, and then they plop down in front of their TV set or just go right off to bed.

Joe : It's a serious national problem, no doubt about it.

  • Joe : I don't believe in free love. I mean, love's not free. You have to earn it, work for it, pay for it. And I believe in God. I believe in the sanctity of marriage. I believe in work. All the things you people seem to hate.

  • Joe : Charlie, why didn't you give me a call and let me know you were coming?

Charlie : What, waste good money on phone calls when I could spend it on booze and women? You gotta be kidding!

  • Charlie : You're still my best friend.

Joe : No, I'm not. I'm your only friend.

Charlie : Yeah, but think how lucky we are. At least we've got one friend.
