Seen on Pittsburgh's Chiller Theater only in 1975

"Strategy of Terror" was not truly a TV movie but episodes from the anthology series KRAFT SUSPENSE THEATRE airing in 2 parts (Jan. 14 and 21, 1965) on ABC under the title "In Darkness, Waiting," designed for overseas release from Universal in Europe and Australia. Strictly a tale of espionage shot in color at a time when most series were still in black and white, Barbara Rush playing a newspaper reporter who learns of an assassination plot at the United Nations, calling upon skeptical police lieutenant Hugh O'Brian to help prevent the conspiracy. Eventually they manage to accomplish just that at a diplomatic reception, the villain revealed to be Neil Hamilton, previously a not very convincing baddie in 1959's "The Devil's Hand" soon to portray Commissioner Gordon on the hugely popular BATMAN. Neither the feature nor the episodes have turned up over the years, probably no great loss but still...
