A man throughout the film is slowly dying of tuberculosis, he eventually dies of his illness and his eyes are open.

The main character also experiences vivid flashbacks of both he and his girlfriend being raped and sodomized.

Characters smoke throughout the film. One party/orgy scene involves drugs to a minimal extent. Some drinking.
