Movie is about two isolated villages somewhere in Yugoslavian ground during WW2. One village hold partisans, other "Ustaše". Basic theme of the film is small conflict between villages in big picture of WW2, and morale conflict between partisans squad leader Gara vs political officer Vijeko.
