Montreal life for an aspiring folk signer in the 1960s
RealLiveClaude10 August 2020
A slow but quite good movie about a country boy (Claude Gauthier, a good folk singer and actor) from Charlevoix, wanting to break into the folk music scene in Montreal in the 1960s. As he stays with his brother, he tries odd jobs, meets the girl (Genevieve Bujold in her first big break in the movies before her international career to follow...), but at the time he gets his break, he has to pay the price of being famous...

A good vista of what was Montreal life at the time. Also interesting cameos from Robert Charlebois and Pauline Julien. Even the latter's husband at the time, the poet Gerald Godin, has a role...

A good time to spend. And Gauthier's song are worth to listen...
