Meet Slut Pop‘s new sibling: Slut Pop Miami.
On Valentine’s Day, Kim Petras released the follow-up EP to her 2022 Slut Pop, with equally-slutty and even-sexier songs from the original project. The project — which a press release said was “inspired by hedonistic trips to Miami” — encompasses 12 tracks including the aptly named “Slut Pop Reprise,” “Banana Boat,” and “Head Head Honcho.”
Petras teased the EP last week with a video of herself on the beach, where she removes a pink top to show her in a bikini. “These bitches can’t suck like me,...

Kim Petras is kicking off her big tour!
The 31-year-old “Unholy” superstar formally began her Feed the Beast World Tour on Wednesday night (September 27) at Moody Amphitheater in Austin, Texas.
Entering the stage concealed in an iron maiden, Kim launched into “Feed The Beast” before performing “King of Hearts” and her big hit, “Unholy.”
Keep reading to find out more…
Split into five distinct sections based on the story of Dante’s Inferno and helmed by director Will Baker and choreographers Brian and Scott Nicholson, the show covered Kim’s discography and her greatest hits, including a whole section dedicated to her EP Slut Pop and her Halloween-themed mixtape Turn Off The Light.
At one point, she even stabbed herself with her microphone while singing to a mysterious man from a bed on the stage, revealed to be a pre-taped, masculine version of Kim in a hyper-realistic silicone body suit!

Pamela Blair, an actress and dancer best known for her roles in the original Broadway cast of “A Chorus Line” and in soap opera “All My Children,” has died. She was 73 years old.
Blair died Sunday in her home in Phoenix, per media reports. Her passing came after a “long battle” with an unnamed illness, her representative Dani Green said.
Blair, who made her major stage debut in 1968’s “Promises, Promises” and later starred in productions as varied as “Sugar and Seesaw,” “Of Mice and Men,” “King of Hearts,” “The Nerd” and “A Few Good Men” in addition to “A Chorus Line,” was celebrated online Monday and Tuesday by past costars and collaborators.
“A Chorus Line” costar Baayork Lee posted on Facebook Monday, calling Blair her “Sagittarian sister” nicknaming her “Walt Disney Pammie.”

Pamela Blair, who originated the role of the surgically enhanced Valerie Clark in the Broadway smash A Chorus Line, died Sunday at her home in Phoenix, Arizona, following a lengthy illness. She was 73.
Her death was reported by friends on social media, including her A Chorus Line co-star Baayork Lee. “I am very sad to say my Sagittarian sister Pam Blair has gone to play with her [A Chorus Line] colleagues among the clouds,” wrote Lee in a Facebook post. Sharing a Dec. 5 birthday, the two actors “always wrote to one another no matter where we were on that day,” Lee said, recalling how Blair ” brought the house down every night” with the showstopping performance of “Dance: Ten, Looks: Three.”
“You are free now Pammie so dance, dance, dance among the stars,” Lee wrote.

Not every TV and film production will stop amid dual strikes by SAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild of America. A host of projects stopped work after writers went on strike against media companies for better pay, streaming data transparency and protections against artificial intelligence (among other issues), and many more have paused since actors walked out on July 14.
There are exceptions, however. SAG-AFTRA’s strike rules allow for work on productions covered under different agreements, and the union can grant waivers or sign interim agreements with independent productions. Below is a list of TV shows and films that fall under those designations; this story will be updated as more productions earn waivers.

In 2022, Kim Petras faced something every artist dreads: a series of leaks that left her album in jeopardy. "I'm devastated idk how all of this happened and I just wanna quit," Petras tweeted at the time, Billboard reported. Nearly a year later, "Feed the Beast" is here. Petras's first major-label album was released on June 23. That same week, she announced a 34-date world tour to promote the album, starting this fall.
"It's really like three albums combined," Petras told Popsugar in a June interview while discussing her partnership with the Motorola Razr+. "Someone leaked [my previous album], so that was annoying." From the ashes came inspiration, though. Petras's A&r representative helped her move through the "annoying" situation, she recounted, advising her, "'You gotta go feed the beast and make more music. Do what you do best.' And that's exactly what I did."
The setback turned out to be worth it. "I...

It has taken Kim Petras 15 years to get a debut album out. In the interim, the German singer —songwriter’s steady rise has made her one to watch among pop artists: Her “Era 1” singles, released from 2017 to 2019, were a cool homage to fizzy 2000s bubblegum, and her pair of Halloween-themed mixtapes were edgy, spooky fun. Earlier this year, Petras became the first trans artist to have a Number One hit, with her Sam Smith collaboration “Unholy.”
But the journey to Feed the Beast hasn’t been all Champagne and glitter.

The wait is over: Kim Petras has released her debut studio album, Feed the Beast. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below.
The album features several of Petras’ recent singles, including “Alone” featuring Nicki Minaj (which sampled Alice DeeJay’s “Better Off Alone”), January’s “brrr,” and her history-making Sam Smith duet “Unholy.” Banks also makes an appearance on “Bait.”
Petras announced the release on social media with a noir photo of a medieval-looking sword propped up against a large stone: “The story begins,” she wrote along with the post. Although the German singer has shared one full-length mixtape and a couple of compilation albums, this will mark her first-ever proper LP.
Feed the Beast follows Petras’ 2022 EP Slut Pop, and she’s set to perform at Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal this August ahead of her 34-date world tour. Tickets for all of her upcoming shows are available here.

“Everything I drop is a banger,” Kim Petras declares on “Uhoh,” a filter house-influenced track from her long-awaited debut studio album, Feed the Beast. And, for the most part, she delivers on that promise. From the verse to the pre-chorus to the instrumental drop and chopped-up vocal bridge, the song—which was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick, the knob-twirler behind Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”—is stacked with hooks.
Much of the rest of Feed the Beast follows suit, including the Dr. Luke-helmed “Revelations,” which channels ’80s post-disco, complete with squelchy electric guitar solo, and the breezy “Coconuts,” a cheeky, pun-filled ode to Petras’s “margari-tatas.” Elsewhere, lead single “Alone” is built around a sample of Alice Deejay’s infectious “Better Off Alone,” though it leans too heavily on that late-’90s club hit’s synth hook to make much of a distinct impression of its own.

GÖTEBORG, Sweden — Home to the most dynamic streaming markets in Western Europe, the Nordic region still posted solid box office returns in 2019, especially from Hollywood tentpoles “The Lion King,” “Avengers: Endgame” and “Joker,” which ruled on all top ten charts, except in Denmark. Local fare, however, lost ground in all five territories.
Denmark
Denmark enjoyed another strong cinemagoing year in 2019, with overall revenues up 4% to Nok 1.18 billion ($175.1 million). After a record 2018, when Danish films punched a 30% market share, home-grown titles still retained 26% of the market – above the 25% average of the last decade, according to the Danish Distributors’ Assn., Fafid.
Boosted by the local animated sensation “Checkered Ninja,” total admissions for local fare reached 3.5 million. Created by comedian-turned director Anders Matthesen, a late 2018 kid’s movie release, sailed to the top of the 2019 Danish box office, earning $8.2 million and accounting for 17.7% of all tickets sold for Danish pics. When Ben Barenholtz, 83, died Wednesday at his new home in Prague, we lost one of the giants of American independent cinema. This vital and genial man has left a legacy behind few can equal. Many in the film community remember him as an entrepreneur, champion of new talent, mentor, cinephile and filmmaker. (Check out his many Facebook tributes here.) Others shared their thoughts in emails to IndieWire throughout the day.
“Ben’s passing is the end of an era,” said John Turturro. “I knew Ben first as a theater owner of the Elgin, which I used to frequent as a young man. Then I worked with him as a producer of ‘Miller’s Crossing’ and ‘Barton Fink.’ He introduced me to so many talented people. His great eye, his sense of humor and mischievous rebellious outlook masked a complicated and difficult early life. He was one of a kind and...

If you view them as mentally ill, you won’t enjoy yourself too much. Not in this day and age. And rightfully so. I’m referring to the residents, central to Phlippe De Broca’s antiwar farce King of Hearts, of the French asylum that finds its gates open as a result of the chaos of war; in this case, the Great War. “Let’s go… they’re all crazy!” a panicky German officer barks at his troops, and they beat a hasty retreat from the aforementioned asylum. It’s a moment that on its surface makes no sense at all. If the “crazy” patients were remotely menacing, let alone violent, perhaps it would. Rather, they’re just sitting around playing with cards, talking amiably, goofily introducing themselves as various types of...

Set during the first world war, Philippe de Broca’s drama imagines a French town booby-trapped by fleeing German forces
Three years before Richard Attenborough’s movie version of Oh! What a Lovely War there was this anti-war satire, set in 1918, now on rerelease – Philippe de Broca’s King of Hearts. Regarded by many, including its director, as a classic, it nonetheless flopped hard at the box office. Watching it again now, I find myself not quite able to hail it as a masterpiece, more of an engaging and contrived oddity – like a U-certificate Marat/Sade – exoticised by the spectacle of non-English-speaking actors dubbed in order to play Scottish soldiers.

Since any New York City cinephile has a nearly suffocating wealth of theatrical options, we figured it’d be best to compile some of the more worthwhile repertory showings into one handy list. Displayed below are a few of the city’s most reliable theaters and links to screenings of their weekend offerings — films you’re not likely to see in a theater again anytime soon, and many of which are, also, on 35mm. If you have a chance to attend any of these, we’re of the mind that it’s time extremely well-spent.

Great films aren’t always recognized in their time. Frank Capra‘s “It’s A Wonderful Life” was a box office flop when it was first released, only to be rediscovered and reclaimed years later as a holiday classic. Philippe de Broca’s off-the-wall anti-war comedy “King Of Hearts” followed a similar path. First released in 1966 in France, and the following year in the U.S., the picture didn’t gain much traction on either side of the pond.

British distributor Eureka! Entertainment has announced their latest slew of acquisitions and releases, which proves a typically eclectic mix of classic and contemporary cinema. New 4K restorations of James Whale’s horror classic The Old Dark House and Philippe de Broca’s war-time satire King of Hearts will be joining Eureka’s Masters of Cinema series in 2018. Here at ScreenAnarchy we are huge fans of Yuji Shimomura's Re:Born, a full-blooded martial arts classic in the making, marking the triumphant return of Tak Sakaguchi (Versus, Yakuza Weapon). Featuring an entirely new style of close-quarters fighting designed especially for the film, Re:Born follows a retired Jdf special forces agent (Sakaguchi), who is drawn back into a world of violence when a former teammate comes looking for revenge....

David’s Quick Take for the tl;dr Media Consumer:
A brash, vulgar, wildly energetic and shamelessly provocative comedy romp that launched Mel Brooks as a film director, Gene Wilder as a popular comic actor, and grossly expanded the latitude extended to comedians in cinema, establishing radically poor taste as an acceptable marketing strategy in mainstream entertainment. Though The Producers is fondly remembered, massively influential and boasts some truly unforgettable sequences of inspired lunacy, too much time is dedicated to histrionic leering, shouting and shrieking episodes that don’t deliver enough in terms of wit to earn my enthusiastic endorsement overall. The story line is pretty familiar – a rambunctious Broadway showman conspires with a neurotic accountant to bilk investors in an offensive production, only to see their plan foiled when the play becomes an unexpected hit. The premise is clever and offers a broad platform for unbridled zaniness. A lot...

With a very heavy heart, we present our tribute to one of Bollywood’s finest music composers, Aadesh Srivastava, who sadly lost his battle with cancer. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Srivastava and Pandit family. Aadeshji has two sons, Avitesh and Anivesh, with his wife Vijayta Pandit, who is sister of the famous Music Director duo Jatin-Lalit.
Aadeshji was not only a music director but also a background score composer. He gave the background score to many films, such as Humraaz, Ye Hai Jalwa and Paheli, the latter being one of our favorite and most noted background scores.
Before we take a look at our favourite songs composed by Aadeshji, here are some special tributes from his colleagues within the music industry that have had the chance to work with him and meet him over the years:

Director Philippe De Broca (King of Hearts) directed this spy spoof at the apex of Bondmania in 1964 and transformed easy-going art-house favorite Jean-Paul Belmondo into a box office mega-star. Featuring a fast-paced globe-trotting chase for an Amazonian statue, That Man From Rio is more Indiana Jones than James Bond but French audiences didn’t care, making it the 5th highest earner at theaters that year. Co-starring the ethereal Françoise Dorléac and sporting an actual Bond villain, Adolfo Celi, the film earned an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay. Watch it here.

“You’Re Tearing Me Apart, Lisa!”
Another great lineup of midnight movies for the ‘Reel Late at The Tivoli’ for late July through early September. It’s a typically good variety of titles that will draw the late night movie buff crowd and a couple of retro surprises are to be found. The Midnight Movie experience has always catered to a college-age crowd and that’s the way it should be. When I was that age, in the early ’80s, midnight standards included A Clockwork Orange (1971), The Graduate (1967), Night Of The Living Dead (1968), King Of Hearts (1966), and Harold And Maude (1971). Those last two haven’t shown in many years. King Of Hearts especially seems to have fallen off the cult movie radar , so imagine my surprise when I saw that the Tivoli had Harold And Maude as part of their new line-up. That’ll be some old school midnight fun...

Two of director Philippe de Broca’s earliest renowned titles get new restorations and are available for the first time on Blu-ray, That Man From Rio (1964) and Up to His Ears (1965), the first two titles from a loose James Bond spoof trilogy featuring Jean-Paul Belmondo. Certainly ahead of his time, de Broca’s amusing adventure films are much more than the kind of lowbrow entertainment that would come to typify the genre known as spoof, and this became a notable inspiration for Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones films, particularly 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Inspired by the adventures of Belgian cartoonist Herge’s Tintin adventures (which also provided the basis for a 2011 Steven Spielberg adaptation), a prized Amazonian statue is stolen from a Parisian museum. Three such statues left South American on an expedition that involved the late father of Agnes (Francoise Dorleac) and and two colleagues. Professor Catalan...

The 'King Of Hearts' Shah Rukh Khan is a superstar in real terms! His movies has not only minted monies at Box-office but also created a ripple effect among the masses! Take a look at 5 of his cult films that created a rage and when people followed him diligently:
Darr: Shah Rukh played an obsessive lover in this Yrf film. Many possessive lovers thereafter adopted the same madness in love that Srk showcased in the film.
Ddlj: When Srk-Kajol's Ddlj released way back, it tugged the heartstrings of thousands from young, middle-aged to old alike. Such was the effect of the film that girls felt love was all about 'finding their raj' and boys idolised Srk's ways of fighting his way to get the love of his life. And till date it is considered as one of the ideal films to take a cue from.

We’d love to know what kind of drugs the National Institute of Mental Health was on when it commissioned this wonderfully surreal antidrug educational short in 1971, using the Alice in Wonderland story as its backdrop. The movie opens with a young girl in a breezy meadow reading a copy of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. Once she falls asleep, she's transported to a strange wonderland where the Mad Hatter is high on acid, the King of Hearts pushes heroin, the Dormouse is dozing off on sleeping pills, the Caterpillar’s hookah is really filled with weed (wasn't it always?), and the March Hare is a total tweaker. The U.S. National Archives tagline tells us Alice ultimately concludes that drugs are bad, but the film’s moral message is rather hazy...

On May 23rd, 1999 Owen Hart was dressed as the Blue Blazer and suspended nearly 80 feet above the ring by a cable that would lower him down for his match. Somehow, his release opened and he fell tragically to his death, hitting the ropes before collapsing back in the ring. It was a horrific and sad night, compounded by the fact the PPV continued even as Owen was rushed in vain to the hospital. He would be pronounced dead that night.
Every year around WrestleMania time wrestling fans will start buzzing about Owen Hart and the WWE Hall of Fame. Many feel that Owen Hart should finally be inducted with the likes of former greats like Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, and even his own brother Bret. Many feel that he would be at home with this year’s class including Razor Ramon, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Lita.

After a series of hate letters to humankind, Noah Baumbach has fashioned an ode to his girlfriend Greta Gerwig’s galumphing adorableness (they co-wrote the script). Frances Ha is black-and-white and has a French New Wave gloss, along with a soundtrack that quotes Georges Delerue’s theme from King of Hearts. (It cranks up when Baumbach needs enchantment.) Gerwig plays a childishly enthusiastic would-be dancer walloped by grown-up life in our most heartless metropolis, New York. Sophie (Mickey Sumner), the best friend she cherishes (hugs, holds hands with, tells “the story of us” to), pulls away. She loses the gig that would pay her rent. The camera holds on her open face as she takes each blow. She blinks to signal disbelief, curls her mouth, and bites down on her lower lip. But she galumphs on.Frances Ha has the trappings and suits of love, but it’s full of sour tones.

"Spock, I do not know too much about these little Tribbles yet, but there is one thing that I have discovered. I like them … better than I like you." –Dr. McCoy, "Star Trek" (1967)
Greetings from the apocalypse! The trouble with Tribbles is not how cute they are but how much they multiply, or in the case of "Star Trek Into Darkness," the silly plot point for which they cameo. The "Once Upon a Time" executive producers recently told TV Guide that they're hoping to find a part on the show for another "Lost" alum - Jorge Garcia, the awesome Hurley on the former hit drama.
The TV Guide writers float the idea of Stromboli, the villainous Pinocchio character, as a possible role for Garcia, which isn't bad at all. But it got us thinking - who else might Garcia play?
In the traditional, well-known fairy tales, there aren't a ton of male characters left. The one that springs to mind first for us is The Beast of "Beauty and the Beast." Plus then we'd get some awesome make-up.
But branching off a bit - the show has already touched on "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," which opens up a whole host of characters from that book and its sequel, "Through the Looking Glass." There's the Jabberwocky, the Red and White kings,...

Some shows rise or fall on the star power of a charismatic lead, some rely on solid writing and era-centric plot twists, while others seduce with flash, style and the conviction that they've struck the Zeitgeist at just the right moment to have cool quotient locked. Mad Men hits all those bullet points.
If you arrive at the TV section of the Huffington Post any given Monday, you'll note anywhere from four to ten stories on the phenomenon that is Mad Men; perspective covering everything from plot analysis and the psychology of Don Draper, to Pete's latest blunder and the cut of Joan's jib. But regardless of these many enduring traits, Mad Men is mostly assuredly a study in style: the clothes, the sets, the props, the vernacular; the feng shui of it all.

When Irv Gotti appeared on "RapFix Live" on October 5, he joked that he has no filter. And when the subject of his former Murder Inc. artist Lloyd came up, Gotti didn't hold back, saying he had "no love" for the R&B singer.
Lloyd, however, took the high road when asked about his old boss. "I haven't been in that situation for years now," said Lloyd, who has since moved to Interscope Records. Blake Shelton was already a beloved country star before he became a reality-tv double-threat. But thanks in part to his breakout role on "The Voice," Miranda Lambert's better half is reaping plenty of benefits, including a #1 debut on the Billboard 200 charts next week for his new album, Red River Blue.
According to figures provided by SoundScan, Shelton's sixth studio album, his first #1 debut ever and highest-charting album to date, sold 116,000 copies last week. Just behind was the first album in five years from floaty rockers Incubus with If Not Now, When, which debuts at #2 on sales of 80,000. They lead a parade of new faces in the top 10 that also includes country singer Chris Young, whose Neon hit #4 in its first week (73,000), pop smoothie Colbie Caillat's All of You (#6, 66,000), head-bangers Theory of a Deadman...

Make it a double for Beyoncé. After debuting with the lowest first-week totals of her solo career last week with 4, the "Best Thing I Never Had" singer will make it two in a row at the top next week when her latest holds on to the #1 slot thanks to sales of 115,000.
Though Bey's sales were down a bracing 63 percent (with a two-week total just shy of 426,000), that is more than enough to hold off this year's chart queen, Adele, whose five-month-old smash, 21, holds steady at #2 thanks to another 79,000 units moved. That pushes her total to date to nearly 2.6 million, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

"Me, Polow Da Don and the whole Zone 4 crew went to UCLA for our daily routine working out, and one day Diddy came to work out with us. I remember Diddy actually talking to me while I was in the middle of some exercises and I wouldn't look at him. He would just say, 'Come on, man! Smile, man!

Lloyd has just dropped visuals filmed in a "lyrics-video style" to support his remix single "Lay It Down", which features B.o.B. The R&B crooner compiles footage from his concerts as well as some behind-the-scene looks for the music video.
The single is recorded for Lloyd's upcoming studio album "King of Hearts" which is long delayed. Back in September 2009, he talked about collaborations he plans for the CD, "I'm working with Lil Wayne again, Jim Jonsin, Young Jeezy, Keri Hilson, Cool & Dre, and Rick Ross."
Planned to be released this summer, "King of Hearts" will be Lloyd's first studio installment since his 2008 studio album "Lessons in Love". This will also be his debut on Interscope Records following his departure from Irv Gotti's The Inc in 2009.

Lloyd has just debuted a music video for his single "Cupid". In this clip, the R&B crooner is seen enjoying his bachelor life before he meets a woman who captures his heart. " 'Cupid' is about optimism, the optimism that love brings. The idea of forever, of infinity, it's the best day of my life," he said.
"It's that feeling of first falling for someone, they way it makes you feel and the optimism that love brings," he once also said. "It just feels like everything can be okay, like love can make everything better and last forever. It's a very intimate feeling that we hope for."
