The life and times of Mari
mumbly-joe4 November 2005
Chans is, in my opinion, pretty good when compared to other Swedish movies from the 60s. But maybe that has something to do with my penchant for coming of age-stories.

Mari is a teenager who runs away from home and tries to make friends with the people she meets, most of them try to use her for their own purposes, while others try to give her some words of wisdom.

There is some violent content in the movie, and the subject matter is adult as well, so I wouldn't recommend it to young children.

Gösta Ekman gives a good performance in a smaller role.

Gunnar Hellström seems to know how he wants to tell the story, so I would deem this movie worth a look if you happen to come upon it.
