- Narrator: If you remember Pearl Harbor, you'll recall that in the year that followed the Japanese were almost invincible. Early in 1943, however, they were checked. Stopped cold by the Marines at Guadalcanal, the Navy in the Coral Sea, and the Allied armies in New Guinea. - Ens. Tommy J. Hanson: It's unclassified, sir.
- Lt. Rip Crandall: Uncla-? I can believe that!
- Seaman J. Johnson: [about Lt. Rip Crandall] He's got a pretty high fever, sir.
- Capt. Shigetsu: You can still fire flares. Japanese nurses very good.
- Ens. Tommy J. Hanson: Look, one more crack out of you and you're in the water.
