Caught by actor-producer Steve Farrar breaking into his home, Susan Tracey, a young American actress, pretends she is someone else and convinces Farrar not to call the police. Her true identity is discovered the following morning when Steve receives a telephone call from the local police who inform him that they are holding a young woman who had been attempting to sell his Oscar. Susan, the girl in blue jeans, ends up getting the part in Steve's forthcoming play and also gets her man.

Realizing that the turbulent romance between her secretary Sally and young Scots painter Andrew MacDonald is floundering as a result of "too much pride" between them, Lorraine decides to forget her own pride and decides to answer in person a letter from Charles. Before she does that however, she takes that walk on the high road alone in the dark.

Sally Fulton (Mai Zatterling) and George Anson (Hugh McDermott), antique dealers from New York City, meet accidentally in London. Because of their business rivalry, they continually find themselves at loggerheads. In London, Sally acquires the Cellini Cup, which disappears rather mysteriously. It is eventually found but not before some harrowing moments, and Sally and George end up forgetting their differences.

Under the top layer of paint is found a genuine Veronese worth at least 100,000 dollars, much to the astonishment and surprise of Bob, Nina's husband, who has been against all of these goings-on.
