• Anachronisms: In one scene, a band plays "Avalon". The film is set in 1917. "Avalon" was not published until 1920.
  
  
• Continuity: Will Hamilton's shorts are visible at one point as he is drying off and talking to Cal after his shower.
  
  
• Continuity: While Cal is talking to Abra on the roof, in the close-ups, the light in her bedroom is seemingly on, whereas in the wide shot, her room is pitch black.
  
  

• Continuity: Near the beginning of the movie after Cal climbs up on the train, the position of the sleeves around his neck changes between shots.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: At one point, when the Ferris wheel has stopped, Cal jumps off to help Aron. In one of the next shots the wheel is shown moving again.
  
  
• Anachronisms: Early in the movie after Cal rides the train to Salina, you can see a modern day automobile in the upper right of the scene showing the view of a field.
