Sex & Nudity

  • This is a wonderful movie from 1954. There is no sex or nudity per se. Only adult dating situations and nothing more racy than a man and woman kissing fully clothed.
  • An Italian man reaches out and pinches a girl wearing a dress on her bottom in a busy town square. The girls play it off as part of the culture.
  • A man is fired from his job for going out with a fellow employee.
  • A man and woman share a passionate kiss in an apple orchard after a harrowing truck ride down a steep hill.
  • A man and woman kiss passionately while standing and fall to the bed in an embrace continuing the kiss.
  • A woman tells another girl that their boss alluded to her maybe needing the use of the company doctor (for a possible abortion or contraception) simply because she was with a man for the weekend.

Violence & Gore

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Several characters smoke cigarettes throughout the film.
  • A man loads a pipe to smoke but does not smoke it on screen. He just begins to light it at the scene change.
  • A man orders 6 double scotches. A woman orders 6 double scotches and drinks one. We then see her walking drunk (having consumed an unknown number of the scotches). She passes out in her apartment.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man and woman were starting a ride in an open truck with poor brakes. The man moves the block and falls to the ground as the truck speeds away semi out of control with the woman at the wheel. Without brakes and unable to get it in gear, she crashes into an apple tree. No injuries but it could be frightening to some.
