Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • There are a few fist-fights in this movie, At no time is there any gore, or blood (other than a couple of very minor scrapes). These are very minor parts of the movie.

Profanity

  • This is set in the 1850's and has all the morality inherint to those times. No profanity whatsoever, the 'worst' word said in the movie is 'damn'.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • None. There is mention of 'chewin' tobacco' but that's it. There is one scene where Adam Pontipee (Howard Keel) - (the eldest brother) empties out his pipe, but I don't remember him actually smoking from it (although, in truth, he may - when I re-watch the movie I'll update).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is one scene where the brothers 'kidnap' their girls, this is inherent to the movie and they realise they were wrong to do so. The girls are fine, they aren't hurt, and it all ends well, however, this may frighten very young viewers.
