Feature, documentary, Vr, TV projects set for Venice industry strand.
Venice Film Festival industry strand Venice Production Bridge has confirmed the 47 projects that will take part in this year’s edition of the Gap-Financing Market (September 1-3).
Now in its fourth year, the market will welcome 25 feature film and documentary projects, 15 virtual reality, interactive, web and TV projects, as well as seven Vr projects from previous editions of the talent development lab Biennale College, which are in various stages of development and production.
The teams behind each project will take part in one-ot-one meetings with producers, financiers, distributors, sales agents and further industry attending the Production Bridge.

Carla Bruni is setting the record straight about Donald Trump — again.
The singer and former first lady of France made headlines in 1991 when Bruni — then known as an internationally famous supermodel — was named as the reason Trump was splitting from second wife Marla Maples. The rumor was further fanned after Trump reportedly confirmed the story to the press himself.
However, in a new interview with The Daily Beast, Bruni once again swats away the story as bogus.
“Actually, the whole situation was very vague and just did not exist,” she said. “So I was very surprised when he went to the press.

Festival to open with Michaël Dudok de Wit’s The Red Turtle [pictured]; Guillermo del Toro and Aardman to give masterclasses.
Annecy International Animation Film Festival, running June 13-18 this year, has unveiled its line-up.
New Zealand director Leanne Pooley’s documentary 25 April, about the Battle of Gallipoli; Canadian film-makers Jean-François Pouliot and François Brisson’s 3D hit Snowtime! (La Guerre des Tuques 3D); Claude Barras’s Cannes-screener My Life As A Courgette, and Sundance discovery Nuts! are among the titles in the feature-length competition.
The festival will open with Michaël Dudok de Wit’s The Red Turtle, which will premiere first in Official Selection at Cannes.
Other highlights include a preview screening of Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney’s The Secret Life Of Pets, in the presence of the directors. Andrew Stanton will also attend the festival, accompanying Finding Dory.

With mainstream Edm under fire in recent months, Arno Cost might be strategically positioning himself to capitalize on electronic music fans’ increasingly refined tastes. While the Coming Alive Ep that he just released on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings imprint was equal parts melodic and progressive house, he intends for his upcoming releases to lean more towards the former category.
When we met up with Arno in Miami last month for Miami Music Week, he made it clear that he would like to revisit his musical origins in 2016 – origins that are rooted in the French touch movement of the ‘90s.
