The action-adventure movie will chart the story of a young girl with a special gift. Her life is forever changed when evil visits her remote mountain village. Finding herself alone in a dangerous world, she must go to The White Tower to learn how to use her magical powers to save her family and friends. There is this phenomenon known as the ‘Runners High’ that occurs in long distance running, where your body basically rewards you for the physical demands and punishment you are putting it through. It is this moment of catharsis you reach through lasting endurance and sheer force of will. Although I have never ran a marathon I have read a number of Jonathan Hickman series and I can assume the experience is quite similar. Thirty-three issues into East of West and now many of the plot threads that have been progressively building have finally received some supremely satisfying payoffs.
Now it is not that the journey has been without its own set of rewards, and I highly doubt we are near the finish line. Still this issue is filled with some major deaths that will have major ramifications for the series to come.

At last, an adventure movie that does without action-epic superhero Bs. It's simply You Are There with a dozen likeable, determined climbers coping with calamity in a place that, for all the help that can be sent, 'might as well be on the moon.' Rko's final in-house production is a good end-of-an-era film, a spirited and well-made musical comedy. Don’t you worry about Famke Janssen’s powerful, sexy Olivia Godfrey. Though things looked shaky for her at the close of Season One of the Netflix original horror hit "hemlock Grove," Famke told us, "Olivia typically finds her way out of any peril. She is unstoppable."
Just in case you’ve never visited “Hemlock Grove,” it’s a fictional town in Pennsylvania peopled with werewolves, monsters and creatures of all sorts. In Season One, Roman Godfrey, heir to the town’s wealthy Godfrey family fortune, befriended the town’s newest resident, Peter Rumancek.
But things weren’t so “friendly.” A spate of brutal murders in the town stirred up speculation and rumors, and it turned out both young men were hiding their own dark secrets.
Stirring up trouble, quite often, is the family’s malevolent matriarch, Olivia. One of Olivia’s favorite playthings is Norman Godfrey (Dougray Scott), her dead husband’s brother.

I only caught bits and pieces of the Eli Roth-produced Netflix series “Hemlock Grove” when it debuted last year. Judging from my wife’s reaction, it was a pretty decent show with a few moments of excellent gore and incredible werewolf transformation sequences. Not surprisingly, she’s pretty excited that season two is headed to the streaming service this summer. I may have to check it out. As if we didn’t already have enough to do with summer with “Orange is the New Black,” Netflix revealed that it intends to release the next batch of “Hemlock Grove” episodes on July 11. You’ll have 10 new episodes at your disposal, which should give you plenty of reasons to stay out of the direct sunlight. Here’s what folks can expect from the new season: We’ll also learn more about The White Tower and the experiments going on in there,...

“I’m so glad I did it. I kick myself sometimes, thinking that I nearly turned it down. That would have been one of the biggest regrets of my life, because every day is funny. Every day.”
We’re in Ricky Gervais’ dressing room on the set of the new Muppets film. He’s currently explaining how he almost missed the opportunity to star in the movie due to scheduling conflicts. And he’s doing so while dressed as a lemur.
“I’ve loved the Muppets for about thirty-five years. I used to watch them every Sunday.” Gervais reveals, “I’ve got older brothers and sisters, and even when I was young, I saw them laughing at what I thought was a kid’s show. And I thought, ‘there’s something else about this kid’s show’.”
Gervais isn’t alone in his love of the Muppets. There’s something about Kermit and Co.

The 90s were a very different time for film making. The biggest blockbusters of the time lived in the realms of the dramatic (Forrest Gump, Titanic), science-fiction (Jurassic Park, Terminator 2), action (Air Force One, Speed), or in some cases all three (The Matrix). It was a fantastic decade for movies, no doubt. 1999 in particular has been heralded as the year that changed the art form. Yet, at the dawn of the new millennium, one of the most innovative and noteworthy trilogies came out that shifted the tone of movie culture over the next eleven years: Lord of the Rings.
The project was nothing short of ambitious right from the start.
