Setting abruptly changes from nighttime to daytime after the dog says, "Commando tactics."
After marching in the beginning, the dog lays his gun to the side of the guardhouse and lies down. In the next shot, when he hears the gophers, the gun is gone.
The number of stripes on the dog/guard house changes when the view shifts from a wide shot to a close-up. In the wide shot there are four dark stripes, but the close-up has five.
When Bugs Bunny shows up at the end of this cartoon, his voice is unusually speeded up. This is because somebody forgot to slow down the tape of Mel Blanc's voice recording in the switch between Davis' and Clampett's direction.
The dog's lips don't move when he says, "Stunning, isn't it?"
Some of Mel Blanc's and Stan Freberg's voices characterize both Gophers instead of each of their respectable roles.
