When Robert and Elena have their "final evening", it opens with them dancing. Robert's hands are clearly fine, but a minute later, when they are seated and chatting, his hands are bandaged.
In the beginning, Robert rips the page off a calendar exposing the page for Wednesday, April 4, 1940. That date fell on a Thursday. It is the correct day, though, for 1945 -- the year the movie was produced.
When the nurse Elena turns to say goodbye to Robert, the step she's on gives way and she lurches down about an inch or so, with an audible crunch. But she ignores it and the scene keeps going without a re-take.
In talking of her husband, nurse Elena says that "Captain Smith married the Princess Pocahontas". In fact, they were never married to each other, and apparently did not have an intimate relationship.
