Gabriel Dell makes his first appearance in the series that his old DeadEnd Gang had started without him. Here he is cast as an adversary named 'Rice Pudding Charlie.' So is Bobby Stone, cast here as Dell's partner in crime, 'Chalky Jones.'
Two Three Stooges "foils" are in this film: Stanley Blystone who plays a uncredited bit as a police officer and Benny Rubin who plays a waiter in a scene with Billy Gilbert.
The failure of the original copyright holder to renew the film's copyright resulted in it falling into public domain, meaning that virtually anyone could duplicate and sell a VHS/DVD copy of the film; therefore, many of the versions of this film available on the market are either severely (and usually badly) edited and/or of extremely poor quality, having been duped from second- or third-generation (or more) copies of the film.
This film received its initial telecast in the New York City area Wednesday 7 June 1950 on WCBS (Channel 2).
Muggs' real name is revealed to be Ethelbert.
