Post-WWII television viewers got their first look at it in both New York City and Baltimore 12 December 1948 on WCBS (Channel 2) and on WMAR (Channel 2), in Washington DC 10 March 1949 on WOIC (Channel 9), in Philadelphia 16 August 1949 on "Frontier Playhouse" on WPTZ (Channel 3), in Cincinnati 27 September 1949 on WCPO (Channel 7), and in Los Angeles 15 October 1949 on KFI (Channel 9).
