Review
Four disc collection of mysteries starring Peter Lorre as the Asian detective created by J.P. Marquand, the first four of the eight films in the series. He debuted in Think Fast, Mr. Moto (1937) as an exporter who takes up sleuthing when a smuggling ring infiltrates his industry. It turns out the mild-mannered businessman has a knack for detective work and continues to follow clues in Thank You, Mr. Moto (1937), where he heads to China on a quest for the seven scrolls that reveal Genghis Khan's treasure, Mr. Moto Takes a Chance (1938), where he poses as an archeologist while looking for a warlord in the jungles of Asia, and Mysterious Mr. Moto (1938), where he goes undercover to infiltrate a gang of assassins, and establishes his credentials by escaping from Devil's Island. Norman Foster directs all four films.
