- Jungle Girl is the story of a vegetarian who survives in the Jungle all on her own. It's an adventure tale about self-actualization, using the tools you have around you, and realizing that once you live in the Jungle, the real world just isn't the same anymore. Jungle Girl is about Girl Power and seeks to fill the void of female survival stories. Jungle Girl is meant to be a different kind of film, a fresh breath of clean, old air. Jungle Girl was shot almost all on the Lomography Lomokino, a small crank film camera that shoots at 4 frames a second. It's basically over 11,000 jpgs put together to make a 40 minute film. Jungle Girl stars Stacy Lopez, who also is a Producer on the film, and secured many of the secret and guarded locations where we shot. Our goal was to have a 100% naturally grainy, old-style film with professional sound and an original score. Producer & On Set Sound Joe Stillwater, and Post Production Sound and Composer Patrick Shaffer created a sensational, dreamy soundscape that plays perfectly to the dream-like film. Patrick, a very versatile Electronic Musician worked side by side with Director David Kupferberg to create a 100% original score for the film using old school synthesizers, and plenty of ukulele riffs. The first song, "What is Real?" tells it all.
