- Branson, Missouri. Some call it the new Nashville or the Las Vegas of the Bible Belt. Over the past ten years, nearly 40 theaters have shot out of the ground in this once sleepy Ozark Mountain town of fewer than 4000 inhabitants. Here in America's heartland, country legends and television and stage stars from yesteryear have reincarnated themselves and offer up good ol' patriotic, Christian entertainment to six million tourists annually. HEAVEN ON EARTH follows filmmaker Rick Minnich's quest to find the perfect America which Branson promises to be. Seeped in nostalgia, and wallowing in stars, stripes and neon lights, Branson is populated by such colorful figures as USO pin-up girl Jennifer Wilson, country music star Barbara Fairchild, boy wonder Matthew Matney, and, of course, Jesus Christ himself in the bombastic musical "The Promise." Mixing show numbers, interviews, and behind the scenes shots, HEAVEN ON EARTH weaves a dense portrait of the making of the American myth. The film climaxes with the largest Veteran's Day celebration in the United States, including a rare, chilling interview with General Paul Tibbets, pilot of the Enola Gay, in which he reflects upon his dropping of the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Still only a small dot on the map, Branson now offers more theater seats than Las Vegas and Broadway combined, and has established itself as the second most popular drive-to holiday destination in the United States.

- In 1880's Taney County Missouri a group of respectable men led by the giant Nat Kinney set out at night to instill justice to an outlaw-infested region of ineffective law protection. As peace saw return the group disbanded, successful in their motive. What happened then was a resulting unforeseen tragedy: Neighboring counties adopted the style of the former group, developing a fearsome disguise and violence in the name of their own self-righteous needs. The ensuing carnage made worldwide headlines, the history of which would be quickly buried by descendants of either side of the issue once the government took action. In an effort to restore this stranger-than-fiction epic to the annals of the history books it was purposefully omitted from, Fire on the Mountain investigates the non-racially motivated vigilantes' rise-and-fall, as told through the words of modern-day descendants of those involved, and separating the fact from the fictional account that is propagated today through the tourism of the Branson, MO entertainment attractions.

- During WWII, Leon H. Faddis served as an anti-aircraft gunner trying to protect United States Navy aircraft carriers from the dreaded Japanese Kamikaze planes. The film follows the American Task Force at the peak of the Kamikaze attacks in 1945 in the South Pacific Theater. The loss and damage sustained by the American naval ships during World War II due to suicide attacks was devastating. The USS St. Lo CVE-63 was the first ship to be lost in such an attack, followed by the daring attack on the USS Randolph CV-15 at the naval base in Ulithi Atoll. The USS Bismarck Sea was also tragically lost, but the worst loss of life due to a Kamikaze attack on an aircraft carrier was suffered by the USS Bunker Hill CV-17, which was struck by two aircraft. These historical and detailed accounts offer a glimpse into the human side of wartime experiences, highlighting the courage and resilience of the individuals who walked the decks of these mighty ships as they lived through these unimaginable coordinated tactics. Their stories, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to their duty in the midst of such perilous circumstances serve as a powerful reminder of the human toll and heroism witnessed during this critical chapter of World War II history. Now the war is over and upon returning home, like many veterans, Leon grappled with the psychological toll of his combat experiences, suffering from nightmares related to his time in war. For years, he attempted to conceal his struggles, as was often common among veterans of that era. To cope with his hidden scars of battle, Leon chose a unique path-he transformed his personal story, his trials, and his journey of healing into a song. Through the power of sharing his faith and the medium of music, he was able to offer a message of strength, hope, and faith to those dealing with the aftermath of war.
