- Vijay who is a corrupt officer by day, turns a vigilante by night in order to make the city crime free.
- A scientist creates a diamond that can focus sun-rays to burn through anything. The villain, in a bid to get the diamond, kills the scientist. The scientist's karate-learning sons, Desh and Vijay, are separated from each other and their mother. Vjay grows up with his karate instructor while Desh is reared by a gypsy camp. How they find each other and avenge their father's death forms the rest of the narrative.
- A powerful tantrik (occult practitioner) living on the outskirts of a village holds sway over a demon that he, after being requested by various villagers, invokes to kill their enemies. A woman, whose husband is killed by the demon, vows to take revenge by killing the demon and undertakes the study of occult practices. Meanwhile, the other villagers make a vow to never request the tantrik to invoke the murderous demon. Years later a group of city slicker come to the village on holiday. A couple of them rape and kill a village belle and her anger-blinded lover, who holds the entire group responsible, rushes to the tantrik and invokes the demon. Do the innocent city slickers survive? Does the widowed female tantrik get her revenge on the demon? The rest of the film resolves these issues.
- The film is adapted from a story called Hungry Stones by Rabindranath Tagore. A tax collector posted to a small town puts up at a mansion feared by the locals because it is haunted. As time passes he grows more consumed by the mansion and its air of romance, and the spirits that haunt it, especially a beautiful woman.
- Former naxalite who has deserted the movement lives in fear of running into old colleagues. In the meanwhile he pushes his wife for material gain into modelling and later seamier projects with tragic consequences. The story is told in flashback mode.
