Richard Shaw's career has been an unconventional leap from early work in television sound and music scoring, to producing and directing. Being immersed in a number of television and film environments, Shaw felt restricted creatively and had to expand into producing and directing.
He was one of three producers on Beat the Drum, (shot in South Africa, 2003) a movie that won 30 international awards about the AIDS pandemic. He later directed The Wordz Project, a documentary that included some of the most notable names in Rap, rapping the words of Christ. Most of the work he was doing now included being involved in the entire process, from shooting to editing, writing, directing and producing -- seeing a project all the way through to final mastering and being comfortable with the technology revolution that now allows that to happen. His current company Pinlight LLC is involved either in development, production and/or post on a number of documentaries and a motion picture. This includes the on-going production of the Watchers series which began with a $5,000 loan in 2010 and has grown into a best-selling documentary series on the paranormal and earth changes. "Watchers" is hosted and co-produced by L.A. Marzulli and all episodes are directed by Richard Shaw.- Etika was born on 12 May 1990 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
