Having studied in Argentina and the States, Rolo Pereyra has received several awards as for instance being the first argentine nominated to receive an Emmy.
He directed the mini-series One Life To Live, produced by ABC Entertainment, several episodes of the police series Brigada Fuego, shot in different Latin American countries and Bienvenido Pavarotti, starred by Luciano Pavarotti and produced by RAI.
He was involved in the making of many documentaries, having worked for more than five years as producer and director for NBC Network. During this time he produced important reports about the Latin American crisis, drug industry in Bolivia, Condor Misil in Argentina, and the awarded Chile en Llamas. He also directed special reports for NBC news, Today Show, Good Morning America and Nightly News.
He worked as director and producer in Telepictures Corporation and for the successful Italian series Georama produced by RAI. His documentary Testimonies" was prohibited during the military dictatorship in Argentina.
IN the awarded films "Años Rebeldes" directed by Rosalia Polizi and "Bajo Bandera" directed by Juan Jose Jusid, he worked as Production Director.
Rolo Pereyra also received many awards from Argentores and, INCA (Argentine National Institute for the Cinema and Visual Arts). As producer and writer, he was awarded by Film Projekt Markt at the Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg of Germany. He is a well known professor in more of the most important universities of Argentina and aboard.
